Apple Valley, CA (April 22, 2024) – A 39-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash that took place in Apple Valley on Saturday evening, April 20th. The accident happened just after 6:00 p.m. on Highway 18 near Quinnault Road.
According to a report, 39-year-old Matthew Hicks, of Appley Valley, was driving a motorcycle eastbound on Highway 18. At the same time, a 2016 Toyota Sienna tried to turn left into Highway 18 from Quinnault Road. As it turned, the Sienna collided with the bike operated by Hicks. Hicks was rushed to a local hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. A young child in the Sienna suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital. There is no further word on their condition at this time. No one else involved in the accident has been identified. An investigation is ongoing. There is no further information available.
