Fullerton, CA (June 13, 2024) – The Fullerton Police Department was dispatched to the scene of a deadly motorcycle accident on Wednesday, June 12. The crash occurred around 9:45 p.m. at Orangethorpe Avenue and Gilbert Street.
According to an official report, a BMW was traveling westbound on Orangethorpe when it crashed with a motorcycle. The motorcyclist was ejected from his bike and was pronounced dead at the crash scene. The rider’s identity was not immediately released. The driver of the BMW, a 44-year-old Fullerton man, was arrested and charged with felony driving under the influence and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. Police closed the road while they investigated and cleared the accident scene. Motorists were told to avoid the area and to find an alternate travel route. The crash remains under investigation, and more information will be released as the inquiry progresses.
